Beat the Heat Spring Jam - April 18-19, 2009
The Rookies traveled to Port Arthur April 18 & 19. The first game, The Rookies started where they left off at the last tournament, facing Rytes Silver. In a very defensive
game, Silver edge the Rookies 20-19. Port Arthur DeQueen was next up for the Rookies. They topped DeQueen 35-14 and earned a forfeit win after a no show opponent. Sunday pitted the Rookies against Rytes Black. The Rookies played hard but had their backs to the wall much of the game. In the end the Rookies were outscored 43-11.
