What Others Are Saying About The Rookies...

It's nice to know what others think about your organization. What suprised me most is not what people are saying in Houston but, that we are being watched in other parts of Texas!

Latest news on Texas Roundball...

"I admire that HOUSTON area program to the fullest. BTW, I like the GCBC program, I like the Rookies, the Houston Elite and even the Swagger program... They all have made the best of what they have and showed up for battle. If the best in the state is there to compete all of the aforementioned programs will be there..."

Rookies Win Championship In DGib Hoops Tournament

The Rookies were honored in the DGibs Hoops Shooting For Success Tournament. Each player was presented a Letter of Commendation from the Navy Recruiting Houston District for their academic accomplishments. We have some of the best student athletes on our Rookies team! They prove not only do they excel in basketball but in the class room as well.

The Rookies opened up tournament play against Houston Elite and suffered their 1st and only loss 30-23. The Rookies would end up 4-1 with wins over Total Package 39-19 and Eastside Ballers 49-15. The Rookies would get a rematch over Houston Elite and win 30-22. They earned a spot in the championship game and would face Game Time Tigers. The Rookies worked hard and won 46-31. They are now 20-7 on the season and 3 Championships.

The 9U Rookies also competed this weekend. They had some very close games again coming up short. They showed much improvement and are working hard for their next tournament.
